What is measured
What the panel measures, by area
Blood sugar both over time and at a single moment, alongside the lipid, liver and kidney measures usually read beside them.
The 9 biomarkers on your report come from these tests, grouped by what each one looks at.
- 9biomarkers
- 9tests
- 4areas
Blood sugar
- Hemoglobin A1c
- Blood Glucose
Hemoglobin A1c reflects your average blood sugar over the past two to three months, and the plasma glucose test is your blood sugar at a single point in time rather than an average.
Cholesterol and triglycerides
- Total Cholesterol
- HDL Cholesterol
- VLDL Cholesterol
- Triglycerides
Total cholesterol is the combined amount carried in your blood, HDL particles return cholesterol to the liver for processing, VLDL particles carry triglycerides out from the liver into the bloodstream, and triglycerides are the main form of fat circulating in your blood.
Liver enzymes
- ALT
- AST
ALT is an enzyme concentrated in liver cells, and AST is an enzyme found in the liver and also in muscle and heart tissue, usually read alongside ALT rather than alone.
Kidney
- Urine Albumin-to-Creatinine Ratio
A urine test comparing albumin to creatinine. Pairing the two corrects for how dilute the sample happened to be.

Good to know
Physician-authorized. A physician in your testing partner's network authorizes the order, so you do not need to see your own doctor first.
Fasting. Fast for 8 to 10 hours before your draw where possible. Water and prescribed medication are fine.
At the draw. Bring photo ID. The draw itself usually takes under ten minutes from check-in.
Getting results. We email you as soon as they are ready, and you sign in to your account to read them.
