What is measured

What the panel measures, by area

A general baseline, with the hormone and thyroid markers usually added when the panel is built for women.

The 45+ biomarkers on your report come from these tests, grouped by what each one looks at.

  • 45+biomarkers
  • 11tests
  • 6areas

Each result on the lab report counts as a biomarker, and a single test can report more than one.

  • Blood count and cells

    • Complete Blood Count
    • Blood Cell Morphology
    • White Cell Differential
    • Platelet Estimation

The complete blood count counts your red cells, white cells and platelets. The morphology looks at the size and shape of your blood cells under magnification, the differential breaks your white blood cells down by type, and the platelet estimation is a visual check of the platelet count.

  • Body chemistry

    • Comprehensive Metabolic Panel

Fourteen measures covering kidney and liver chemistry, blood sugar, protein and electrolyte balance.

  • Cholesterol and blood sugar

    • Lipid Panel
    • Hemoglobin A1c

Your cholesterol breakdown in one grouping: LDL, HDL and triglycerides, plus your average blood sugar over the past two to three months, rather than a single moment.

  • Hormones

    • Total Testosterone
    • Estradiol (Ultrasensitive)

Total testosterone is the total amount of testosterone circulating, both bound and unbound, and estradiol is measured by a method built to resolve lower concentrations, where a standard assay is imprecise.

  • Thyroid

    • TSH

Thyroid stimulating hormone, the signal the pituitary sends to the thyroid. It is the usual first number in a thyroid check.

  • Inflammation

    • hs-CRP

C-reactive protein, measured by a high-sensitivity method able to read the low levels a standard CRP test cannot resolve. The liver produces it in response to inflammation.

How it works

Three steps from order to results

  1. 1

    Order online

Choose the plan or a one-time order. For the plan, you review its renewal terms at checkout.

  2. 2

    Get your draw

Your lab requisition arrives in your account. Walk in to any of 5,000+ partner lab locations, or book ahead with that lab to skip the wait.

  3. 3

    Read your results

Results are usually ready within a few business days of your draw, though some markers take longer.

Good to know

  • Physician-authorized. A physician in your testing partner's network authorizes the order, so you do not need to see your own doctor first.

  • Fasting. Fast for 8 to 10 hours before your draw where possible. Water and prescribed medication are fine.

  • At the draw. Bring photo ID. The draw itself usually takes under ten minutes from check-in.

  • Getting results. We email you as soon as they are ready, and you sign in to your account to read them.
