What is measured
What the panel measures, by area
Blood sugar over time, fasting insulin, cholesterol and general body chemistry, the four measures usually read together when the subject is metabolic health.
The 25+ biomarkers on your report come from these tests, grouped by what each one looks at.
- 25+biomarkers
- 4tests
- 4areas
Each result on the lab report counts as a biomarker, and a single test can report more than one.
Blood sugar
- Hemoglobin A1c
Reflects your average blood sugar over the past two to three months, rather than a single moment.
Insulin
- Insulin
The hormone that moves glucose out of the blood and into your cells. Usually read alongside blood sugar rather than on its own.
Cholesterol
- Lipid Panel
Your cholesterol breakdown in one grouping: LDL, HDL and triglycerides.
Body chemistry
- Comprehensive Metabolic Panel
Fourteen measures covering kidney and liver chemistry, blood sugar, protein and electrolyte balance.

Results are usually ready within a few business days of your draw, though some markers take longer.
Good to know
Physician-authorized. A physician in your testing partner's network authorizes the order, so you do not need to see your own doctor first.
Fasting. Fast for 8 to 10 hours before your draw where possible. Water and prescribed medication are fine.
At the draw. Bring photo ID. The draw itself usually takes under ten minutes from check-in.
